In a Vase on Monday: A Vase for the Cancer Center – September 30, 2019

We live about a mile and a half away from the nearest hospital and within the campus is our regional Cancer Center. As I spin up my new business I call Alpine Acres Flower Farm I though I might try to buoy the mood of some of the patients passing through by supplying them with fresh bouquets on occasion. Last Monday I put together the first and took it in for their pleasure.

Out of the four members of my Core family, My brother, father and mother all suffered with and died from Cancer and were treated within this facility, so I have a great reason to support their efforts! As a bonus, the Director of Oncology surprised me with the fact that she is also a hard-core gardener!

Our Dahlias are still just chugging along as the periodic dosing with Miracle-Gro Bloom Booster seems sufficient to keep them where they need to be moisture wise.

    1. We began a four day revival at church last night with a fellowship meal and I took one of the two leftover bouquets to the Cancer Center on my way to another appointment to switch for the one nearly faded away.
