Flower of the Day – September 18, 2018 – Dahlia

This is another in a series of photos I took at my Uncle’s house, who is a retired Biology teacher and flower aficionado.

We had a rough beginning to our growing season in the end of Virginia that borders Tennessee. Some early rain and warmth followed by a cold spell caused many of our dahlia bulbs to rot in the ground.

  1. Whoa Cee! I consider your kind words some of the highest praise. I am blessed to benefit from the ever improving clarity and pixel count of the cell phone camera. As long as you take the time to steady the device and stay far enough away to allow the focus you usually get great results. I will freely admit I don’t find many dahlias I don’t love. However, we have a yellow dinner plate one that is breathtaking to me. It is coming soon to this series.
